Who is this course for?
This Level 2 2365 Diploma Course will allow you to develop and practise the skills required to become an electrician. This course is designed for people who have already completed our Domestic Electrician Course, before progressing onto our Level 3 2365 Electrical Installation Course.
The course will be a mixture of home online learning and hands-on training at our centre. By providing as much of the course as possible online, this will allow you to fit the course around your other commitments and complete the course at a pace that suits you.
This course is the second stage in becoming a fully qualified electrician and will build on the knowledge and skills learnt during the first stage. During this course you will cover elements that will be transferable towards the Level 3 NVQ 2357 qualification.

Course Overview
City & Guilds Level 2 2365 Electrical Installation Course
The full title of this qualification is City and Guilds 2365-02 Level 2 Diploma in Electrical Installations (Buildings and Structures).
This course is designed to follow on from the skills and knowledge you have developed during our Domestic Electrician Course. You will complete parts of the L2 2365 in these previous courses and then build on this knowledge during this next stage.
The Level 2 2365 course will allow you to deepen your understanding and hone the practical skills you learnt during your initial training. It will also take a greater look at the science of electrical installations as well as further increasing your knowledge of Health & Safety, electrical industry regulations and communication within the building services industry.
Course Structure
The course will comprise of two parts; firstly a selection of online modules for you to complete in your own time at your own pace, alongside 11 days worth of training in person at our centre. All practical assessments will take place during your time with us in centre, and all online exams will take place at your home using City and Guilds remote invigilation service. Please note Mac OS, Chrome OS and iOS devices are not supported. The 11 days will be split into a 2 week block, and a 1 day block. When purchasing the course you will gain instant access to the online courses, whether paying in full or putting down a deposit.
Please note that the ‘Electrical Installations Technology’ online learning module will need to be completed before attending your in centre training.

Course Duration
The course will consist of home, online study and 2 weeks of in-person training at our centre. You will also need to attend a 1 day assessment at the training centre after completing the online Health & Safety module.

The exams
During this course you will take a variety of different assessments. They are as follows;
Health & Safety – 2 exams
1. Online multiple choice exam consisting of 25 questions which you have 40 minutes to complete.
2. A practical assessment consisting of 6 tasks to demonstrate your understanding of Health & Safety in a variety of workplace environments. The 6 assessments will take a total time of 7 hours. You will need to attend a 1 day assessment at the training centre.
Principles of Electrical Science – 1 exam
Online multiple choice exam consisting of 40 questions which you have 90 minutes to complete.
Electrical Installations Technology – 1 exam
Online multiple choice exam consisting of 40 questions which you have 75 minutes to complete to complete. (Open book exam)
Installation of Wiring Systems & Enclosures – 1 exam
A practical assessment where you will have to demonstrate that you know how to install and test wiring systems. The assessment will take a total time of 10 hours. This will be completed during your 2 week in centre training.
Communication within Building Services Engineering – 1 exam
Online multiple choice exam consisting of 20 questions which you have 40 minutes to complete to complete.

You need to have completed the Domestic Electrician Course, or equivalent, to enrol onto this course.

FAQs
How many days do I need to attend the training centre?
You will need to attend the centre for 10 days (2 weeks consecutively) to complete the practical training and assessment required for the Electrical Installations Technology unit. You will then need to attend for another 1 day to complete your Health and Safety practical assessment.

What is City and Guilds Remote Invigilation Service?

Do I need to complete the online training before I can attend in centre?
You will need to complete 1 module online before attending your in centre training; Unit 203 Electrical Installations Technology. The other online modules can be completed before or after you have attended in person.
