This course is designed for anyone who is looking to get started in the domestic electrical market, whether you have little or no experience, or are an associate tradesperson. On completion of the three qualifications included in this course you will be able to start working and building experience as a domestic electrician straight away.
This package is exclusive to EC4U, with no other electrician training centre in the UK offering a comparison. It is our most popular electrical course and includes the three core qualifications you need in order to become a qualified domestic electrician, no matter your experience level. What makes this package so different to any other is the week long, hands on experience week held in our purpose built flats, which will give you the confidence and practical skills you need to become a domestic installer.
This course has been exclusively designed for anyone who has previously trained with EC4U, or other training providers, and are now looking for the most comprehensive and straightforward way to becoming a Qualified Supervisor. Designed to combine your previous training with home learning, this course is flexible and adaptable, allowing you to fit it around your life.
Building on our Domestic Electrician Course, the new Domestic Electrician Course + is suited for those who are an associate tradesperson or new to the industry, and have the goal of being able to carry out periodic inspection and testing. The course contains the three qualifications that you’ll need to carry out periodic inspections and become a qualified domestic electrician.
This course has been designed for those who are wanting to carry out electrical work, including the installation of EV charging points. It is aimed at those with little or no experience, who want to get qualified and start working as a domestic electrician as soon as the training is complete. The course is also ideal for anyone looking to become employed as an EV charge point installer.
The 18th Edition Wiring Regulations will be released in July 2018. From then, the 17th Edition Course will not be offered and you will be required to take 18th Edition Course. Find out now what the expected changes are and how long the course will be.
This course is structured around the IET Code of Practice for Electric Vehicle Charging Equipment Installation and will ensure that you are competent and knowledgeable in the subject. This course makes up one of the requirements to register with the Governments OZEV Scheme.
If you are looking to become a domestic electrician, you will need to be aware of Part P of the Building Regulations and demonstrate that your installations meet current regulations. To do this you must be competent and have a good knowledge of the regulations and what they include, such as minor and notifiable work.
The City and Guilds 2392-10 Level 2 Inspection and Testing course covers domestic or similar single phase installation. This qualification is suitable for both those new to the industry and current electricians looking to add to their existing skill set. The course takes place in our 3 purpose built flats, where you get as realistic as possible practical experience. If you are an experienced electrician looking to enhance your current Inspection, Testing and Periodic skills and knowledge, then this is the right package for you. Within the package are two qualifications, which cover periodic inspection and initial verification and commissioning of electrical installations. Further your career today with a Level 3 commercial qualification!
If you are looking to build on your existing inspection and testing qualifications as a competent electrical contractor, then this is the perfect course for you. The course will provide you with a good understanding of both the theory and practical scenarios within initial verification and commissioning of electrical installations.

If you hold a 17th Edition Amendment 3 qualification, you will be required to complete a one day 18th Edition Update Course when the new edition is released in July 2018. You will be required to update to the 18th Edition before your next annual on site part p scheme provider assessment.
This comprehensive qualification covers a combination of practical training and online/home learning and will allow you, upon completion, to join a Part P Scheme Provider to self certify that your electrical work complies with current Building Regulations.
