Domestic Electrician Course

Our Domestic Electrician Course will give you the core skills, knowledge and qualifications to start carrying out domestic installations as soon as you have finished the course. The course of these contains 4 smaller courses within it; the Basic Electrical Course, the Part P Online Course, the 18th Edition Online Course and the Level 2 Inspection & Testing Course. The Domestic Electrician Course is a combination of in centre training with at home, online learning, allowing you the flexibility to fit it around your other commitments.

Level 2 2365 Electrical Installation Course

The next step to gaining your Level 3 NVQ, the Level 2 2365 Electrical Installation Course will not only reinforce and further embed the skills and knowledge you have developed during the Domestic Electrician Course, it will go into new areas in detail such as Principles of Electrical Science and Communication within Building Services. This course consists of 10 days in centre days covering the practical elements of the course, with everything else taught during online learning.

Level 3 2365 Electrical Installation Course

Nest, you will take the C&G 2365 Level 3 Diploma in Electrical Installation Course. This course further develops certain areas covered within the Level 2 2365 such as Principles of Electrical Science as well as introducing new areas such as Environmental Technology, Fault Finding and Electrical Design. As with the Level 2 2365, this course is a combination of in centre training and online learning. The in centre training lasts for 10 days and covers Inspection & Testing, alongside Fault Finding.

Level 3 NVQ 2357 Electrical Installation Course

Now you have completed both your Level 2 & Level 3 2365 courses, you are able to carry over all the units that you successfully completed during these qualifications into the NVQ. This means that upon successful completion of a bridging assessment, you are able to use these units to cover the theory side of the NVQ course, leaving you with just the evidence portfolio and AM2 assessment to complete. Upon enrolment onto the Level 3 NVQ 2357 course you will gain access to your remote portfolio so you can start building your evidence collection straight away. Once you have built and finished your portfolio, you would then need to complete a final AM2 assessment to complete the qualification. The AM2 assessment will need to be taken at a NET centre. • Why are your courses so cheap?

The simple answer is we are not cheap and there is no catch, some of our competitors are simply over pricing and uncompetitive! We manage all of our business costs with close scrutiny so that we can keep all of our overheads as low as possible and not pass any additional costs on to our customers. This in turn allows us to be competitive and realistic with our course prices.

  • Can you help me after the course?

Once you have completed the course you will be invited to our unique, customer only forum. This is made up entirely of our previous customers who have all completed the same course as you. It can act as a great place for you to network with other electricians, and provides a warm and inclusive environment. We also provide a dedicated technical helpline for all our customers that will take you straight through to one of experienced trainers who will be able to offer support. Read more about our after course support.

  • Do I need a Gold Card to become an electrician?

No, absolutely not. Gold Card is just one route you can take when becoming an electrician. Find out how to get your Gold Card.

  • Do I have to complete the courses within a set time period?

Absolutely not, we have designed the course this way so that you can break it up and complete it over whatever time period suits you.

  • Can I join a Competent Persons Scheme after completing this package?

To join a Competent Persons Scheme you will also require Level 3 Inspection and Testing course. This will teach you how to test three phase circuits that tend to be found in commercial environments as well as how to carry out periodic inspection and testing.

  • How long will it take to complete this package?

This very much depends on how long it will take you to complete the online learning elements of the course alongside the in centre training, then put together your evidence portfolio. We would advise 12-18 months as a rough estimate to complete all elements of this package.

  • What is an evidence portfolio?

You will be required to put together a portfolio of evidence that showcases your knowledge, skills and experience. The evidence will be uploaded and collated in your e-portfolio, an online platform where you can organise your evidence and see your progress through the course. Your assessor will be able to give you feedback through the e-portfolio so you can manage your evidence easily.

  • How do I choose my in centre training dates?

Upon enrolment onto the course, we will send you a list of in centre course dates. You can choose to book in all your in centre training dates straight away, or start by picking your Domestic Electrician Course (stage 1) in centre training first, and then pick your Level 2 2365 and Level 3 2365 dates at a later point.
