Case Study: Jay

Our customers come to us from all levels of experience, some are already working as electricians, some are new to the industry and some are looking to enhance their qualifications.

The EAL Level 3 Inspection, Testing and Periodic Package is a popular choice amongst those looking to expand their business and services.

One of our most recent customers, Jay previously had completed a domestic installer course at a different training centre over a couple of years. He then went on to complete our Experience Course to gain some valuable practical skills earlier in 2017, all before taking on our Level 3 Package.

“I wanted to do a Level 3 course, because at the moment I do a few installs alongside my job, but I want to get into doing periodic inspections on rental properties, but I need a Level 3 course for that” Jay explained.

We like to keep our Level 3 course sizes smaller, to ensure that all of our customers get the care and attention they need during their training.

“It’s a difficult course, but the teacher makes it easy. It feels like it’s more personal, as in a private lesson, because there aren’t that many of us.”

“A lot of us got stuck, sometimes we had blank moments, and the trainer is just really good with us and very thorough. These two weeks have really pulled things together and if I pass, it’s purely because of the trainer and his teaching methods; he explains things in a great way to you. It doesn’t feel like you’re in a class at all, he’s a really good teacher!”

Despite our core course times being 9-4pm, sometimes, classes can over run or sometimes people will stay longer for extra tuition (day depending).

“We’ve been working so much overtime, we’re meant to start at 9 and finish at 4, but we start at 8 and are here until 6, it’s value for money and it’s all for our benefit too.” Jay says, “the trainer really cares, he’s passionate about teaching and that makes a lot of difference.”

We have helped EAL streamline the examination process recently, with the introduction of this brand new combined Level 3 qualification and it’s been designed with our customers in mind.

“The EAL process is really good, I can’t fault the centre either. You’re a number at other training centres and they’ll teach and go through the board, but here we’ll ask questions, even stupid questions and they’ll explain. The trainer is really good and I just can’t fault this place. The prices here for the courses are also a lot better.”

“I would recommend EC4U with my eyes closed. If anyone asks where I did my training, I say go to EC4U because the guys here are amazing. I wouldn’t even send them to the other training centre, because your methods of teaching are much better.”

EC4U would like to wish Jay the best of luck in his career and succeeding with his new Level 3 qualification
