18th Edition Amendment 3 available for draft comment
The Institution of Engineering & Technology (IET) and the British Standards Institute (BSI) are calling on all members of the electrical industry to have their say regarding the new draft amendment to BS7671:2018 + A2:2022 which will be available for review and feedback between 8th May and 5th June.
Amendment 3 to the 18th Edition has been written following the released following a bulletin from BEAMA which aims to clarify the differences between unidirectional and bidirectional RCDs and circuit breakers.
The amendment is due for publication in summer 2024, and once released will be available to download for free from either the IET’s or BSI’s websites.
The Draft for Public Consolation (DPC) will be available to read on both the IET‘s and BSI‘s websites, and comments on the draft amendment can be made through the BSI’s Standards Development Portal up until 5pm on Wednesday 5th June.
